For artists finding their way – career advice, creative guidance, and support.

Be what artist again?

Hi, my name is Elisa Moriconi and I am a concept artist.

Maybe not one you heard about: my online presence was always kind of hitting the wall of my laziness in actually running after social media algorithms, and creating a consistent plan for contents.

I am one of those artists.

The kind of artist who loves to create but are a bit messy at actually promoting themselves to a wider audience – which is a completely different skill set than the one you need to get a job.

We will talk about this if you stick with me.

Anyway, way back when I lived in Italy I used to write a blog called: “Vita da Illustratore”.
It was one of the most fun things I did at the time and I missed writing articles for other artists a lot, which is why I am here today.

Since I started my career I worked as: illustrator, production artist in animation, concept artist in games and architectural visualization.
I have also matured experience as a teacher (for adults and for children classes) and as a mentor on platforms like Diversity Champions and Limit Break.

What I want to achieve with this blog is:

  • to help new artists and also some of those who already started their career
  • helping you to look around and discover all of the things you can do as an artist, understand what really driven you, and how you can pursue it.

We will talk about:

  • career paths
  • how the different industries works
  • how to generate a passive income
  • how to get a freelance or an in-house job.

And above all – this is very important – how to find a community that can help and support you, while you grow as an artist!

I hope this will be a useful resource and to meet many of you in the time to come 🙂

Have a lovely day everyone!
